Activities conducted by the Society include an annual conference held over two days, usually in June, either in Melbourne or a regional centre. The conference provides information on recent innovations in research or farming by progressive and outstanding primary producers, agri-industry personnel and researchers. Conference proceedings are posted to all financial members after the conference. In addition to the annual conference, there are a number of field days, tours and meetings, held during the year. These are at various locations across the state. Whilst primarily organised for our members, the topics covered are of interest to people outside the Society and they are always welcome to attend.
A bi-monthly newsletter is sent to all members. This gives notice of any upcoming Society activities and general information relevant to grassland farming.
The Society is an active organisation with many enthusiastic members with diverse agricultural interests and a common interest in grassland farming.
