Bringing Re-Gen to the Next-Gen Project
Have you ever wondered: What is regenerative agriculture & how does it apply to me? If so, then this project is for you!
‘Bringing Re-Gen to the Next-Gen’ is a capacity building project for the Limestone Coast that will help thirty livestock farmers and advisors explore the key concepts of regenerative agriculture.
The program will be collaboratively designed and delivered to include education modules, field days, open gate farm tours and online forums to establish farmer networks in regenerative methods.
What's in it for you?
- The chance to increase your knowledge of soil chemical, physical and biological fertility.
- Explore how to grow better pastures and increase feed utilisation and quality.
- Understand the science to help you make evidence based decisions.
- You’ll be supported to conduct your own trials and adopt practices that lead to improved farm condition.
Who we're looking for:
Thirty farmers (managers and other staff), farm advisors or agricultural professionals who produce red meat, milk or wool, with a desire to learn, challenge and change.
The first planning workshop will be held on Thursday 14 November 2019 at PIRSA Struan, 74 Struan House Rd from 11:00am - 2:00pm
